Huck's

Founded in 1960 by Bob Martin and Frank Bayley, Huck's Food and Fuel originated from a partnership that first opened Big John supermarkets in small Southern Illinois towns, later expanding into Kentucky and Tennessee. In 1974, the first convenience store, named Huck's, was established in Grayville, IL, and today the company operates over 130 locations across multiple states, employing more than 2,500 people.

In 2001, Huck's transitioned to a 100% employee-owned organization, fostering a strong sense of ownership and dedication among its workforce. The company has also established the Karing for Kids Charitable Fund, which aims to support underprivileged children and has expanded its mission to provide assistance throughout the year.
