Home Instead Senior Care, established in 1994, is the one of the largest nonmedical sources of companionship and home care for seniors. It operates more than 700 franchises in the United States, Canada, Japan, Portugal, Australia, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Spain, New Zealand and Taiwan. Home Instead Senior Care employs CAREGivers who provide more than 60 nonmedical home care services to senior citizens that include companionship, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, incidental transportation and shopping. The company operates the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation, which provides financial assistance to nonprofit organizations that specialize in projects and programs that improve the quality of life for seniors. Home Instead Senior Care maintains a facility in Indianapolis.
