Harmonie State Park

Made my 1st visit to the park and was impressed. On a Monday in early May the park was ours alone for a number of hours, no cars going by on the roads, never crossed another person on the hiking...

We came here on a whim to see how it was. We usually go to a different state park and this one has blown it way out of the water. The camp grounds, the family cabins, and DNR staff are so so nice....

I believe that this park has the best campgrounds in the state of Indiana. There is no lodge, restaurant, or pool, but the restaurants of New Harmony are only a few miles to the North.

What a wonderful find! We enjoyed an easy hike on the 4.3 mile Sycamore Trail (loop) and can't wait to come back to enjoy the others (see map). These trails are accessible by bike & walking - dogs...
