Goshen Community Schools

Model Elementary School is an educational institution that offers a range of academic and extracurricular programs for students in kindergarten through grade five. It works for the development of reading, writing, language, social, natural science and computation skills. The school follows the Olweus' School Bullying Program, which focuses on firm limits for unacceptable behaviors and the encouragement of adult involvements. It provides instruction in the areas of music, science, math and language arts. Model Elementary School offers a speech, language and hearing program that serves students with communication skill disorders. It organizes field trips, spelling bee competitions, picnics, Christmas sing-alongs and scholastic book fairs. The school provides membership opportunities for Girl Scouts and maintains the Book Buddies, orchestra and chess clubs. Model Elementary School is a part of Goshen Community Schools, which governs elementary, middle and high schools.
