In early 2009, in the midst of a move, one of our founders came into possession of a box of old photos and slides that hadn't seen the light of day in many, many years. They needed to be shared with his family. But how? He did a bit of research and realized just how arduous it would be to self-scan the pictures let alone figure out how to share them with family all across the country. The idea was born to combine the physical aspect of digitizing old family memories with today's instantaneous sharing technologies.
