Garfield Park Farmers Market

History

The Garfield Park Farmers Market opened for it's first market on May 7, 2016. It was a labor of love for it's two founders, Julia Woody and Ashley Brooks, as well as the neighborhood it serves. It was founded to provide better food access in an area that is considered a moderate food desert and to fill a geographical gap for a local farmers market on the Southeast side of Indianapolis.

The Garfield Park Farmers Market is a food-based market so when you visit us that's exactly what you'll find - locally grown or sourced food! We're connecting people with their food and the farmers that grow it. Our mission is to support local sustainable farmers and producers while creating a gathering place for community interactions.
