Employer Support-the Guard

Employer Support-the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense initiative established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers. With over 4,500 volunteers, ESGR provides informative briefings, mediation services, and recognizes employers who demonstrate exceptional support for their military employees.

Through the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), ESGR educates both service members and employers about their rights and responsibilities regarding military commitments.
