Dillman Wastewater Treatment Plant & Utilities Lab
Dillman Road Wastewater Treatment Plant, located south of Bloomington at the intersection of Highway 37 and Dillman Road, has been operational since May 1982. With a design capacity of 1.5 million gallons daily and a peak hydraulic capacity exceeding 30 million gallons, the facility employs a two-stage complete mix activated sludge process, complemented by tertiary anthracite filtration and fine filtering.
The plant also addresses disinfection and phosphorus removal during the summer and fall months, discharging treated effluent into Clear Creek. Additionally, it provides public services through its lab, which conducts bacteriological tests on samples from swimming pools and private well water.
