Joliet Area Community Hospice, founded in 1982 and located in Joliet, Ill., is a nonprofit organization that provides hospice services to those who are terminally ill patients, and their families. The organization is licensed by Illinois Department of Public Health, and certified by Medicare and Medicaid. It serves patients in Greater Will, Grundy, Cook and Kendall counties, Ill. Joliet Area Community Hospice has a team of physicians, nurses, counselors, therapists, social workers, aides, and volunteers who provide medical care and support services to the patients and their families. The organization specializes in various services, including nursing and personal care, medical appliances, supplies, symptom management, and pain relief. It also provides short-term inpatient and respite care, physical therapy, counseling, and bereavement services.
