The Cass County Historical Society, established in 1907, is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing the rich history of Cass County, Indiana. Its primary venue, the Long Home Museum, features a diverse collection of artifacts, including paintings, military uniforms, and Native American items, all housed in a beautifully restored Italianate home built in 1853.
In addition to the Long Home Museum, the Cass County Museum, acquired in 2019, offers expanded space for library programs and exhibits. Future plans include showcasing rare artifacts such as a 1920 ReVere Tourer automobile and American mastodon fossils, while also enhancing accessibility for all visitors.
