Carmel Police Department

Carmel Police Department is recognized as a Nationally Accredited Law Enforcement Agency by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. It provides law enforcement and crime prevention services. The department has an operations division that responds to emergency and nonemergency calls for service, arrests offenders, conducts initial investigations and gathers evidence. In addition, Carmel Police Department investigates traffic crashes and maintains proper traffic control and flow throughout the city of Carmel, Ind. It has a criminal investigations division that is responsible for investigating robberies, sex crimes, frauds, auto thefts and crimes against persons. The department s special investigation division is responsible for intelligence and dignitary protection.
