Buckner, Jason, L, MD

Dr. Jason Buckner is a board-certified pediatrician by the American Pediatrics Academy. He is also a board-eligible pediatric endocrinologist. Dr. Buckner received his undergraduate degrees in biochemistry and biology in the health sciences at Tennessee Technological University and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee. He completed his pediatric residency at Emory University. Most recently, Dr. Buckner successfully completed his fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Colombus, OH. Dr. Buckner is also certified in neonatal advanced life support (NALS), basic life support (BLS), and pediatric advanced life support (PALS).Dr. Buckner emphasizes family-centered pediatric care and education. Among his medical peers and colleagues, Dr. Buckner has presented at internation, nation, and local medical conferences on many different endocrinology, diabetes, and pediatric obesity topics: Adrenoleukodystrophy; other causes of obesity; hyperprolactinemia; malignant infantile osteopetrosis; micropenis; inhaled steroids and adrenal suppression; diabetic ketoacidosis; diabetes insipidus; SIADH and the triple phase response; and hypoglycemia.
