Founded in 1980, Bowen Center is a private, nonprofit community mental health center accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Bowen Center began its professional operation in March, 1961 as the Four County Mental Health Clinic offering outpatient psychiatric care to residents. The company is a private not-for-profit, comprehensive community mental health center that has the license from the State of Indiana Division of Mental Health. Located in Columbia City, Ind., the center has received accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
