Big C Lumber is a fourth generation family-owned company that was started in 1921. There are nearly 20 Big C Lumber yards. In addition to the original lumberyards in Roseland and Three Oaks, Ind., there are Big C Lumber yards in Granger, Mishawaka, Elkhart, Cromwell, Laporte, Shipshewana, Kendallville, Auburn, Fort Wayne and Grovertown, Ind., as well as Eau Claire, Schoolcraft, Coloma and Dowagiac, Mich. The Granger facility, which houses the administrative offices, focuses on professional contractors. It also serves as a distribution center for the other lumberyards. Big C Lumber has a knowledgeable staff to assist homeowners in planning and designing indoor or outdoor projects. Big C also offers free delivery, computerized design and expert measuring for kitchen and bath cabinets. The company has its own door, window and custom millwork shop and a large fleet of boom trucks to deliver for contractors.
