Believe Midwifery Services

History

Believe Midwifery Services, LLC was founded in 2007 by Dr. Penny Lane CNM, IBCLC. She is licensed, certified, and even awarded for her practice as a Nurse Midwife in the state of Indiana. Dr. Lane has been attending births since 1997 within private homes, birth centers, remote hospitals and large tertiary centers. This unique combination allowed Dr. Lane to recognize the need for a highly-trained homebirth attendant in her community. Not only did families require a professional that appreciated the physiologic process of birth, but one that could offer a high level of clinical skill and a collaborative relationship with the medical community. Dr. Lane is a genuine advocate for individual families and their personal choices. She stands on the evidence and is not guided by fear-based medicine.

Believe Midwifery Services, LLC exists as a result of God's call to serve women and their families in Central Indiana with wisdom during a most precious, exciting and life changing time. Our aim is to provide women compassionate and respectful support concerning their choices for the safest, healthiest and most satisfying experiences during their childbearing year and beyond. In serving families, we strive to glorify Jesus Christ and reflect His love for ALL people. We care for women of all ages, through all stages of life.
