Anderson Woods Camp
Anderson Woods Camp, established in 1978, is a private not-for-profit organization located in rural Southern Indiana, dedicated to providing summer camp experiences for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Spanning 165 acres along the Anderson River, the camp offers a safe and inclusive environment where hundreds of campers can engage in unique learning experiences and build self-esteem through nature-filled activities.
The founders, Judy and David Colby, envisioned a place that empowers individuals with disabilities to realize their potential, fostering a sense of dignity and self-confidence. By providing a supportive camping experience, Anderson Woods aims to give these Special Ones the choices and opportunities they richly deserve.
