HistoryHead Start, a program funded by United States Department of Health and Human Services, serves America's most vulnerable young children and their families. Geminus Head Start programs deliver services in core areas of early learning, health, and family well-being while engaging parents as partners every step of the way. Geminus offers the following programs: Head Start for preschool children ages 3 to 5 Early Head Start for pregnant women, infants and toddlers under the age of 3 EHS-CHILD CARE Partnership Program is a program serving child care centers by providing comprehensive and continuous services to low-income infants, toddlers, and their families. Geminus Head Start is proud to be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), a hallmark of a high quality programming.SpecialtiesGeminus Head Start is the Northwest Indiana leader in early childhood education, making a positive impact on families, children and staff through creative partnerships that inspire personal growth, foster empowerment and provide quality comprehensive services for all. NWICA is a non profit dedicated to helping vulnerable populations overcome barriers to independence. NWICA is the designated Area Agency on Aging, Community Action Agency and 2-1-1 Call Center (24 hour call center).
