History
We started our farm in 2004 with Alpacas but have diversified over the years and have included Longwool Sheep, Rare Breed Chickens, even a few rabbits and ducks!
Specialties
Our small family farm specializes in Alpacas and Longwool Sheep as well as Rare Breed Chickens. We offer Alpaca, Sheep, and Rare Breed Chicken sales, stud service, help in farm planning and evaluation, Alpaca fleeces, Longwool Locks and other finished products in our fibre shoppe online, free basic fiber arts classes, fiber art tools, handspinning services, and more! Our Alpaca vision from the beginning in 2004, has been for baby fine fleeces (or finer!) that last the duration of the alpacas life. While we do not have 40+ alpacas anymore, we still maintain a small herd of fine fleeced beauties. Going out and having those big brown eyes greeting you first thing in the morning is such a treat! We diversified our fiber harvest by adding longwool sheep to the mix several years ago. We love the Bluefaced Leicester with their finer wool and purly locks but also have worked with and have crosses of Teeswater, Wensleydale, and Cotswold sheep too. The locks make great hair for dolls or felting creations too! While the locks are fun to play with, they can also be carded into roving and yarn just like any other wool. Our sheep are dual purpose in that we also offer freezer lambs too. Chickens are one of our favorite additions to our farm! We love the Rare Breeds and focus mainly on egg color. We have Marans bred to the French standard, and Crested Cream Legbars mostly and then crosses of the two for our Olive Eggers which we probably enjoy the most! We also currently have some Herita
