Formed in 1996 and headquartered in Indianapolis, we are an early childhood education organization that operates the federally funded Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Indiana's Marion and Hamilton counties. Founded in 1964, Head Start is the country's largest early childhood education program, serving nearly one million children annually. Locally, Family Development Services provides Head Start and Early Head Start educational programs and social services to more than 2, 000 children and their families each year through our 11 schools and service centers.
