HistoryMr. Novick has a contract with the McLean County Public Defender's Office taking conflicts cases and has filed briefs in about 100 juvenile appeals. He is the co-author of Termination of Parental Rights in Illinois and The Americans With Disabilities Act published in the Child Law Section of the Illinois State Bar Association, June, 2006. Mr. Novick also represents defendants in driving and dui cases and assists individuals whose licenses have been suspended or revoked before the Illinois Secretary of State. Mr. Novick has been licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois since 1976. He spent three years as an urban planner for Harland Bartholomew and Associates, one of America's first urban planning firms. Mr. Novick became corporation counsel of the Town of Normal in 1979 and served in that position until 1982.
