The World’s Largest Catsup Bottle, located in Collinsville, Illinois, is a remarkable 170-foot tall water tower built in 1949 by the W.E. Caldwell Company for the G.S. Suppiger catsup bottling plant. This iconic roadside attraction, recognized as an excellent example of 20th-century American architecture, has been beautifully restored and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
Thanks to the efforts of the Catsup Bottle Preservation Group, this landmark has been saved from demolition and continues to attract visitors and tourists daily. Proceeds from merchandise sales support the nonprofit organization’s mission to promote the catsup bottle as a unique roadside attraction while fostering community involvement and heritage tourism education.
