Weinheimer Community Center

LBDNH is a United Methodist multipurpose community center and is located in East St. Louis. It provides social and human services and social action and advocacy programs. It also offers housing and economic development programs. The center s early intervention program offers parent training, child development and life skills classes in conjunction with case coordination. Its teen reach program provides a variety of activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, tutoring, homework assistance, leadership training, field trips, conflict resolution and cultural arts. Additionally, the center s support services include rental, medical, clothing and shelter assistance. LBDNH also offers scholarship programs to help low-income families.

The East St. Louis Housing Authority is a provider of housing assistance to low-income families. The agency is a department of the government of the city of East St. Louis, Ill. It offers subsidized housing to qualified applicants. The department is charged with maintaining the rules and regulations set forth by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. In addition to providing housing subsidies and department-owned rental homes, it offers assistance in the purchasing and selling of homes. The department is also involved in community planning and development, government-sponsored enterprises, loans for health care facilities and control of lead hazards.
