Bohler-Uddeholm s first operation in North America, in Elgin, Ill., was established in 1925. The company s steel service centers and steel stores carry extensive stocks of tooling materials in locations such as Tuscumbia, Ala.; Hayward, Calif.; Dayton and Brook Park, Ohio; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Elk Grove Village, Ill.; Germantown, Wis.; and Minneapolis. Bohler-Uddeholm assists its parent company, Bohler-Uddeholm headquartered in Germany, which is an international specialty steel organization with a focus on four core areas including high performance metals, precision strip, welding consumables and special forgings. The company has production sites in Austria, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, the United States, Brazil and Mexico as well as heat treatment operations in Asia and North America.
