History

My name is Matt Young, I am the owner and lesson coordinator for Vivace Music. We are a new option for music lessons in Chicago, and we are accepting students now. My wife, Sarah, is the voice and piano instructor and I teach guitar, bass, upright bass and flute. We started Vivace Music to give students an affordable option for music lesson in North Chicago. Both of us have taught for years at small music schools around town, but we wanted to do things differently. Most small music schools will load their teachers up with students, one after another, and as a result the student does not receive the personalized attention that is necesarry for true progress. At Vivace Music, Sarah and I will only accept 10 students each. Once we reach that goal, we will not take additional students. This allows us to really get to know our students, and give them the best experience possible during lessons.
