Vedgewater Community Garden-Peterson Garden Project

Peterson Garden Project is dedicated to recruiting, educating, and inspiring individuals to grow their own food through organic gardening. Since its inception in 2010, the program has engaged over 25,000 participants and cultivated a significant community of volunteers who contribute to food security by growing and donating organic produce to local food pantries.

With multiple Pop-up Victory Gardens across the north side of Chicago, the project not only fosters gardening skills but also emphasizes community involvement and support. Members benefit from resources such as raised garden beds, organic soil, and educational workshops, all while adhering to environmentally friendly practices.
