History

Opened in August 2014, Unraveled Yarn Shop is a mother-daughter business endeavor founded on an open door policy, where all are welcome and questions are encouraged. Unraveled Yarn Shop opened with the hopes that even the most beginning knitter and crocheter could enter and be inspired, never intimidated or made to feel ill-equipped. A focus on local business showcase and small business networking, Unraveled strives to showcase the work of local artists and offer the best fiber from local farms to give a unique spin on the LYS scene. Unraveled isn't afraid to start small, because that is what a small business is all about-growing into the tastes of their customers and bringing in the best, on request. In the few months that Unraveled Yarn Shop has been opened, it has been extremely active in community causes, fundraisers and events, and has gained notoriety as a Top Pick in the Daily Herald's 2015 Readers' Choice Awards.

We offer classes in knitting and crochet, as well as project classes for those looking for a new challenge. We showcase and sell fiber art handcrafted by local artists, and we keep business as local as we can, featuring locally sourced fiber when available.
