About UHS: Founded in 1955, Union Health Service, Inc is a state certified, group practice Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), A Voluntary Health Service provider, and a Health Care Prepayment Plan (HCPP). Union Health Service is Chicago's HMO pioneer. UHS has been in the health care field for over forty-six years. UHS was the first Health Maintenance Organization in the state of Illinois. UHS is a Staff Model health maintenance organization; therefore we provide the health benefits at our facilities. I shouldn't have to come down there. If you people did your job right. I'm still getting bills. I had an HMO before January 2025. And the statements are saying, no referrals. It's a real mess...
