Tinker Swiss Cottage is a historic house museum located in the heart of Rockford, Illinois. The museum complex contains the historic house museum, barn, and carriage house from the Tinker family. In addition, the property is the home of the founding site of Rockford and contains a Pre-Columbian Native American conical mound.

A very old beautiful mansion from the mid 1800's that is a museum now. All the furnishings were owned by the Tinker family. It's very nicely renovated and preserved. It is also haunted. A must see...

The Tinker Swiss Cottage is a jewel. The staff/volunteers were wonderful. The house is beautiful and 95%+ of the original belongings still in place. As a museum person this made my day....
