The Mane Attraction

Carla is the owner and a full time stylist at The Mane Attraction with over 35 years of experience in the beauty industry. Immediately after graduation in 1972 she took 1st place in a high style competition against 50 other stylists. After working in a couple of salons in the Collinsville area Carla decided being her own boss was the way to go. In September, 1983 The Mane Attraction opened.In 1993 Carla moved into the current location and became a 5 station salon. In 1998 Carla added a boutique and became a one stop beauty shop featuring an assortment of unique clothes, purses, shoes & jewelry. In 2003 the salon became The Mane Attraction Hair Studio, Boutique & Spa providing services head to toe, "If your hair skin or nails aren't becoming to you, you should becoming to The Mane attraction."Carla has a thirst for knowledge and a hunger to be the very best. She has made it a point to be educated and attends numerous shows and training seminars and provides opportunities for all her stylists to get the best training across the country. Few of the most recent include: Redkin Seminars, Chicago Midwest Beauty Show, Discover in St. Louis, Fashion Focus in Paducah, Sanitation and OSHA in French Lick, IN. Her favorite event is Hair World in Washington D.C., which is the largest international show that comes to America once every 10 years.
