History

The firm was founded 1992 dedicated exclusively to helping people with their unmanageable debt. Over the past 25 years, the firm's owner has frequently spoken at both local and national bankruptcy law seminars, as have several of his associate attorneys. Along with several other bankruptcy attorneys and trustees in Southern Illinois, he helped to found BASIL - the Bankruptcy Association of Southern Illinois, which provides an annual seminar to educate and assist bankruptcy attorneys in the Southern District of Illinois. Over the years, TBC has helped tens of thousands of people obtain a fresh financial start, and has discharged millions of dollars of debt. In July, 2018, Mr. Buch purchased the firm after having over 23 years of experience in working in the offices of three different Chapter 13 Trustees as staff attorney. He joined the firm in 2016 after his work with the Trustees. Mr. Buch worked in an underground coal mine for 7 years prior to entering law school.
