History

Temple of the Dog & Meow Lounge opened up shop in October of 2012. I had recently graduated from pet grooming school and was passionate about starting my own grooming business where pets could be treated with love and respect, and to have a space that was warm and inviting. I modeled my shop layout to look more like a living room than a grooming salon. When I started my shop, I had one real client (Misha Botwinick) and just a bunch of dreams. Since 2012, my dreams for this shop have exceeded and then some! We just moved September 2018 to open a bigger and better shop. With our ever-growing clientele thanks to all the their support and referrals, we had to rearrange our grooming situation several times and it lost the home-like atmosphere. The outstanding service remained the same throughout our growth, but now our clients' pup can play freely and enjoy our home-like digs once again!

Temple of the Dog & Meow Lounge is a full service all natural dog & cat grooming salon and pet wellness spa located in the heart of Logan Square. The health & happiness of your furry friend(s) is our biggest priority! We wholeheartedly embrace and practice gentle grooming methods that include positive association and reinforcement. Our groomers are professionally certified by the Illinois Board of Education, and CPR & Pet Nutrition certified. We create personalized therapies for pets that have skin & coat issues. We work closely with our clients' vets to ensure our senior pets and dogs with special needs receive the best care and attention.
