NHL Medical College in India after which he completed his residency in Internal Medicine from B.J. Medical College. He then completed his neurology residency (chief resident) from Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. This was followed by a fellowship in stroke and vascular neurology and a fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery (Neurointerventional surgery) from Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Dr. Aasif specializes in endovascular treatment of stroke, aneurysm, carotid disease and other vascular abnormalities of the brain. He is board certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology.
