Swedishamerican Health System

Established in 1911, SwedishAmerican Hospital is a 357-bed facility that serves the Greater Rockford region, northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin throughout the United States. It maintains the Regional Cancer Center, which features a private 10-room oncology unit, an outpatient hospital infusion room, and outpatient medical, hematology and radiation oncology departments. The facility also has an orthopedic center that provides comprehensive health care services to patients with the diseases of aching joints and broken bones. It provides a range of general, laparoscopic, neurological, ophthalmologic plastic and reconstructive, urology and oncology-related surgeries. SwedishAmerican Hospital is affiliated with the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine. The facility is located in Rockford, Ill.
