Bethel New Life, based in Chicago, is a social service and welfare organization that provides wage jobs for families, childcare, education, transportation and access to health care for sustainability. The organization employs more than 300 full-time employees and has over 1,000 volunteers. Since 1979, Bethel New Life has served more than 12,000 individuals and brought investments of over $110 million into the community. A range of programs is offered by the nonprofit organization, including cultural arts, employment, housing and economic development, family support, seniors and community development. Bethel has also placed more than 7,000 people in living-wage jobs and developed over 1,000 affordable housing units.
