History

Spine Cor Center of Chicago is a partnership of Dr. Marc Lamantia and Dr. Gary Deutchman who began treating Scoliosis patients in his NYC office 14 years ago. In 2004, Dr. Deutchman began collaborating with Dr. Lamantia who brought new procedures and expertise in neurologically based postural reeducation techniques to the program. They have helped thousands of patients with scoliosis over the years making them the most experienced Spine Cor providers in the country. They are both also Schroth Method Certified instructors. Their expertise is recognized by their peer physicians from around the country, who regularly refer them their difficult cases.

Specialties

We specialize in the non-surgical treatment of scoliosis with a Corrective Movement approach that combines the use of Schroth Method of scoliosis exercise with the dynamic Spine Cor scoliosis brace. We treat both adult scoliosis and scoliosis in children. While most physical therapy for scoliosis uses non-specific bilateral exercise for scoliosis our methods are specific scoliosis exercises are unilateral and get at the causes of scoliosis because they are designed to de-rotate the trunk while lengthening and strengthening the shortened muscles involved in spinal scoliosis.
