Speech and Language Rehabilitation Service

Speech and Language Rehabilitation Services provides diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic treatment, consultations and counseling for children and adults with communication disorders. It also offers evaluation and treatment services to professional voice users, such as singers, public speakers, teachers, athletic coaches and ministers. It provides treatment to children and adolescents with problems in information processing, including difficulty in listening, following directions, retaining information and distinguishing sounds. Its professional staff includes four full-time and one part-time speech and language pathologists. The staff members hold a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech and language Hearing Association. Located in Peoria and Bloomington, Ill., Speech and Language Rehabilitation Services also provides contractual services to hospitals, nursing homes, schools and home care agencies.
