Elgin Medi-Transport's HistoryElgin Medi-Transport was founded by Pat Crawford on June 20th, 1977. Pat was a member of the first class of sixteen EMT-P Paramedics in the Greater Elgin area. With Pat's extensive knowledge of the industry, strong customer service and vision, Elgin Medi-Transport continues to grow to include over thirty employees. Over ten years ago, Elgin Medi-Transport was the first provider to install 12 lead cardiac monitors in all our ambulances. This technology has advanced to include radio transmission of cardiac information to the receiving hospital emergency departments allowing for faster treatment of incoming patient where every second counts.
