The Stephenson County Antique Engine Club is a not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to preserving America's historical heritage through a variety of activities. From the annual Threshing Show showcasing antique tractors and steam engines to the Train of Terror providing a spooky ride through railroading history, visitors can immerse themselves in the rich past of agricultural and industrial machinery.

At the Silver Creek Museum, guests can explore 28 rooms filled with memories from yesteryear, including the fascinating history of the Freeport area. With highlights such as a 130-ton stationary steam engine, the museum offers a unique glimpse into the region's past and invites visitors to experience the sights and sounds of branchline railroading aboard the rare Heisler steam locomotive.
