It is through personal preference that Siemer Milling Company delivers food products to improve the quality of life. Siemer Milling Company is a family and employee-owned company whose primary product is wheat flour milled to different specifications for the making of such foods as cookies, crackers, cakes, pretzels, batters and breadings, bread and biscuits. Hodgson Mill, that was acquired by Siemer in 1988, makes a wide variety of consumer products including flours, meals, baking mixes, batter and breading mixes, and pastas. Then known as 'Hope Mills, Uptmor & Siemer, Proprietors,' the mill s name was changed to Siemer Milling Company when, in 1906, Joseph Siemer and his son bought out the Uptmor interests. Ventures that were related to the mills basic interests included heat-treating flour and introducing extenders and economic advantages for certain applications. Siemer has main offices in Teutopolis, Ill. and Hopkinsville, Ky.
