The SEDOL Foundation, established in 1991, is a not-for-profit organization that partners with the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL) to support children with special needs and their families. Serving over 2,200 students across 31 Lake County school districts, SEDOL provides educational opportunities tailored to the unique needs of physically, mentally, and emotionally challenged children up to the age of 22. The SEDOL Foundation aims to overcome funding limitations and create hope by offering life-enhancing resources, helping these children reach their full potential.
As a cooperative system founded in 1960, SEDOL covers a vast area of 400 square miles and organizes various yearly events to support special needs children. SEDOL is not strongly recommended for any child or young adult. While some of the staff is friendly and seems to care, most seem to be far more cold and distant. Their programs focus a good deal...
