One of every three toaster pastries consumed in the United States was produced by Schulze & Birch. The company creates a line of fruit-based baked snacks marketed under the Toast em Pop-ups and Snackin Fruits brands. Schulze & Birch has also been selected by a group of Fortune 500 companies to manufacture their proprietary and branded products. The products it manufactures include fruit filled snacks, multi-cereal bars, granola bars crackers, cereal and ingredients. Along with its corporate headquarters, the company has a research and development pilot plant and repackaging facility in Chicago. Paul Schulze Sr. established the company in 1896 as a major commercial bread bakery.
