Rush Alzheimer Disease Center

Rush Alzheimer s Disease Center is the research center funded by the National Institute on Aging and is located in Chicago. It provides a full spectrum of services in the diagnosis and care of people suffering from Alzheimer s disease. It provides services to more than 5,000 Alzheimer s patients and their families through its outpatient clinic. It offers a thorough neurological and psychological evaluation for Alzheimer s disease and other dementia by a physician who specializes in the diagnosis of dementia disorders and diagnostics tests, such as a brain imaging and blood tests. Its staff members offer educational presentations, training workshops and conferences to health care professionals and family caregivers. The investigators focus on four main areas of research, including risk factors, neurological basis of the disease, improving diagnosis and treatment.
