The Rockford Mass Transit District is dedicated to providing safe, efficient, affordable, dependable and accessible transportation to the residents of Rockford, Ill. and the surrounding area. The Rockford Mass Transit District provides fixed route and paratransit service to the cities of Rockford and Loves Park and the Village of Machesney Park. The 39 fixed route buses operate over 17 routes Monday through Saturday, 6 night routes and 5 routes on Sundays. Its paratransit service is a curb-to-curb service for persons with disabilities such that their disability limits their ability to ride the fixed route. Information about schedules, special tours or changes to it bus routing system can be viewed online through it website.
