Riverdale High School

Bowlesburg Elementary School is a K-4 school based in Silvis, Ill. which currently houses 320 students. The school has highly qualified specialists in the areas of reading, kindergarten literacy, reading excellence partner, special education, bilingual education, music, physical education and library. In 2006, the school was awarded the Academic Improvement Award from the state. Bowlesburg Elementary School is a part of East Moline District #37, which also operates other schools including Glenview Middle School, Hillcrest Elementary School, Ridgewood Elementary School and Wells Elementary School.

Ridgewood Elementary is a community school that serves more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade four. Located in East Moline, Ill., the school imparts reading skills to elementary students through phonics instruction. Ridgewood Elementary also conducts classes in art, music, physical education, library skills, science and computer applications. The school has a library and media center that provides a variety of resources, such as books, journals, magazines and Internet access. It operates fine arts, computer applications, and health and physical education departments. Ridgewood Elementary has a staff that includes a psychologist, speech pathologist, and physical and occupational therapists. The school is a part of East Moline School District 37.

Located in Moline, Ill., Horace Mann Elementary is comprised of more than 240 students in Kindergarten through six grades. It offers breakfast and lunch options to students. The school maintains a parent-teacher organization that serves as an agency of support and organizes events, such as field trips, lunch programs and fundraisers. Horace Mann Elementary is a part of Moline School District No. 40, which governs various elementary, middle and high schools. Each school within Moline School District No. 40 maintains an academic curriculum that includes reading, math, science, English, social studies and physical education. The districts schools also administer various sports and extracurricular activities, such as football, volleyball, golf, basketball, softball, cheerleading, baseball, cross-country and wrestling.
