Rend Lake College Foundation

Rend Lake College, located in Ina, Ill., has been operational for more than 60 years. Formerly known as Mt. Vernon Community College, it is one of the leading providers of higher education in the United States. Rend Lake is approved by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Illinois Community College Board, and Illinois Board of Higher Education. The college enrolls more than 5,000 students annually, and offers bachelor's, master's, specialist, associate and doctoral degree programs. Its courses include accounting, advertising, athletic training, biology, biotechnology, broadcast communication, cardiovascular perfusion, computer information sciences, and criminology. Rend Lake provides preparation assistance for medical, dental, veterinary, podiatric school and research and government careers. Additionally, the college offers specialized courses in cytotechnology, diagnostic medical ultrasound technology, sport management, early childhood and primary education, ecological studies and foreign language studies.
