The Reading Group was founded in 1972 by Marilyn Kay. We continue to serve students who learn differently.

Specialties

The Reading Group is a nonprofit organization that helps students of all ages improve their reading, writing, speech, and math skills. For 45 years, we have served central Illinois students seeking help with reading disorders, dyslexia, light sensitivity, comprehension, fluency, and other challenges, as well as those who seek gifted enrichment. Our certified teachers have over 100 years of combined experience and advanced degrees in special education and reading intervention. We help students who learn differently reach their full potential in school, work, and life!
