In 2020, during the early days of the pandemic, we started baking to occupy ourselves at home. A friend gifted us a sourdough starter and we were amazed when the first sourdough bread we baked was a success. With downtime came curiosity about making our own starter. From that moment on, we were baking anything and everything with sourdough . . . quickly realizing that the bagels we made were pretty special. As time went on and our friends were coming by (socially distanced) to sample our goods, we came to understand that not only had we created delicious, comforting breads, bagels, sweets and more, but a real sense of purpose for our family during this unprecedented time. R&A Sourdough was born and we (Rachel and Adam) believe we have something wonderful to share with you. We hope you enjoy your goods!!

Bratty New Yorker who resents the bagels in Chicago, here! I've lived in the neighborhood for quite a few years but have avoided R&A because there tend to always be lines/people waiting....
