History
Prairie State Winery was established in 1998 by former high school teachers Rick and Maria Mamoser. They were 1 of only 16 wineries operating in IL at that time- Now there are over 100! Prairie State Winery's goal has always been to craft the highest quality wines and to have the friendliest tasting room staff in the industry. Over the years we have garnered 3 Best of Shows, 3 Governor's Cups, and numerous Best of Class and Gold Medals. Most importantly, the sentiment from our many loyal customers and newcomers alike leads us to believe that we are meeting our goals!
Specialties
We have over 30 different wines made from several IL varietals. Tastings offered Thursday through Sunday (7 samples for $5). NO kitchen, so outside food is welcome! Must be 21 to enter during Wine Down live music events. No outside alcohol permitted.

Some of the best wines I've had made in Illinois, with super knowledgeable staff who know the wines in and out. Try the Chambourcin Reserve and Cattleman's Red!

Fantastic wine options, cute atmosphere......major fan! You can do wine tours at their Genoa location. They have a deal for wine tasting: 6 wines for $6.99.
