T.P.I. Building Code Consultants, Inc was started in 1997 as "Temporary Plumbing Inspectors". The company goal was to provide substitute plumbing inspectors for overwhelmed, sick, or vacationing village plumbing inspectors. Additionally, there were many municipalities without a plumbing inspector on staff that used the service and still do. During our first few years we were asked many times if we provided additional services in the areas of building, electrical and mechanical plan reviews and inspections. T.P.I. began to grow the business into a full service company and was incorporated as T.P.I. Building Code Consultants in April of 2000. Currently, T.P.I. provides plumbing inspections and plumbing plan reviews to South Elgin, Wayne, Bloomingdale, Addison, Itasca, Batavia, and many others. T.P.I. inspectors substitute for many municipalities like Hanover Park, Mundelein, Bensenville, and Bolingbrook when they require additional help. We have performed full building plan reviews for Bloomingdale, Bensenville, Itasca, and South Elgin. Glendale Heights and Lake Zurich used our services while they were in the process of hiring a full-time plumbing inspector.
