The beginning was a humble time. I was a private teacher in Schaumburg at a school called Schaumburg Music Academy. I taught drums primarily, but I also taught beginning brass to middle and high schoolers. I was so excited to get to teach others my favorite thing. There is something so awesome about being in a position where it is literally your job to share you passion My teaching style was focused on two things primarily. 1. Keep the student interested in music by making it FUN 2. Help the student learn quickly so they aren't frustrated by lack of progress It worked very well. Within a couple years I was the busiest teacher in the school. I decided to start teaching drum lessons at my own studio in Chicago. It grew and grew and eventually students started asking for Piano lessons and this is when Pilsen Music was born.
